Re: Repairing the image database

Hi everyone, I got in touch with user ragnar, who was kind to provide the file RESTORE.exe again. You will find it attached to this post. This file passed antivirus scans (see attached PDF report). However, use it AT YOUR OWN RISK ! There cannot be any support on this, and if you damage your camcord...

Re: Sony HXR-NX30 - experiences?

I tried the iAuto (or iEasy something?) on another Sony camcorder, and found that it cancels any specific settings that you have made. Essentially worthless, stay out of it if you're going into specific AE Shift etc... settings. I've never gone into the iThing again, and my AE Shift settings have be...

Re: Z1 Capture to External Hard Drive

If you can capture m2t files (a.k.a. MPEG2 Transport Stream) on your PC, then you will be able to use ClipWrap (www.divergentmedia.com/clipwrap) on your brother's Mac to rewrap m2t files into Quicktime container files that can be edited there. Been there, tested that. Hope this helps.

Re: Effective resolution of camcorder's sensor - does it mat

Hi, yes they do need to interpolate because the sensor isn't the exact shape or size of Full HD spatial resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), or even orientation (Exmor sensors are tilted 45 degrees). There are so many factors that contribute to image quality, it's not just sensor resolution. I realize t...

Advanced search perhaps? But then you've got to have reliable/useful clip metadata & tags.

Cheers

What makes an audience feel engaged and want to view your video until the end? Wow, this is the most difficult question! There's been generations of people in Hollywood and elsewhere, building a career to address this question. When you reach a number of views, there's an interesting Analytics tool ...

Re: Slowmotion & Stills... Feedback please

Hi, welcome! I appreciate the work put into this! About the blurred background on the sides ("à la" iOS 7), I'm not sure it adds anything indeed. I tend to say that the best special effects, usually, are those that unaware viewers will *not* see. I like the first 40 secs, the combination o...

Re: Sony HXR-NX30 - experiences?

Hi, there are only a few technical limitations that I had to set up initially, so that attached pictures can show without breaking the site layout. They are in the forum FAQ , I'm also including them here: Each uploaded image can be up to 100 KB, up to 3 images per post. Any image up to 800x800 pixe...

Re: Which camera for music videos

Hi, welcome! No offense, but it's a very generic question and hard to answer! It's good that you thought over your requirements and drilled down to what's essential to you... but, in summary, you're looking for an inexpensive camcorder with high dynamic range and good manual control. That's what eve...

Re: SONY HVR-HD1000 crazy problem!

The limitations of FAT32 forces camcorders to break recordings into 2GB chunks. Use Sony's provided software "Picture Motion Browser" to stich them together and resolve the gap, before you use the resulting video into any other software (incl. Premiere). Search Google for "picture mot...
