Re: CMR Blackbird stabiliser (with D90 & T2i/550D & other ca

I was on a short (an well deserved :)) holiday in Germany last week and decided to take the blackbird with me just for fun. (My wife didn't find it funny at all but that's the price she have to pay for being married to a videographer :D) Here's a short vid I did just after about 2 hours of testing: ...

Re: Panasonic AG-AF100 Micro Four Thirds camcorder

5K is body only, I wonder what the lenzes cost that are specifically designed for this camera.
If you want to use some good lenzes that cover everything from wide to tele and light sensitive I guess the total price will easily be above 10k +

Why FAT32?

I just wonder why manufacturers still rely on fat32 as it is an ancient format, especially in an HD time where a one hour file is easily 10gb +. For ext harddisks I heard it has something to do with the fact that fat32 can be read by either Mac or pc so it can be used right out of the box and change...

Re: Possible to transfer movies BACK to the camcorder?

Do you mean that the WD TV player supports NTFS natively, and can play video files larger than 4GB - or not? Yes, the wd player does not have a build in harddisk with limitations, you can plug in any ext harddisk or usb stick that has ntfs format and the wd player just plays the files on it, even i...

Re: Possible to transfer movies BACK to the camcorder?

I suppose it plays it right because my wd mediaplayer does not cause any stutter when viewing 50i or 25p material on a full hd screen.

Re: Possible to transfer movies BACK to the camcorder?

Alternatively, have you thought about using either a multimedia disk (Western Digital has some) Another vote for ext mediaplayers, I use a first gen WD mediaplayer which is very small and cheap and plays almost every format on hd or crt tv's. I even saw the first generation models for about 50 euro...

Re: D-SLRs vs 35mm film

Forgot to tell but I have one of those (a cheaper version), think it's called hoodman or something like that. But even with that I find it difficult getting focus exactly right, with the magnifying button on the other hand it's no problem.

Re: D-SLRs vs 35mm film

I have 3 lenses at my disposal, a nikon 50mm 1.4, a 28mm 2.8 and a canon 11-22 f3.5-4.5 For the wideangle lens from canon I can use the autofocus by pressing the photobutton slightly until the white square in the viewfinder turns green meaning you have correct focus on that spot, it works very good ...
