HI doughie when time allows will be glad to post a few longer posts,at the moment on the the road and all my posts up to now via my iPhone, I guess it's early days -but any chance of a more friendly Iphone app.? As for your xr520 you might find the auto White balance more on the cool side on the 550...

Arkady, I have a off /on love affair with 25p, it worked ok on a couple of projects for me but recently I have stuck with 50i, partly because the small Sonys only have 50i when mixing and mainly although 25p I would rate as just as sharp as interlaced on the ax2000, it never to my eyes looks as HD a...

Don't worry I had a fx7 and v1 a while ago and comparing the two the ax2000 image is much cleaner with less noise plus the G lens resolves more detail and contrast with the same wide focal lengh as the new wide sonys which can give a nice feel of depth to the image.

This could be a very interesting camcorder and lack of specs and no U.S version so far make it a bit of a mystery. AX2000 picture profiles

Still trying to get a nice look in 50i to match the sharp 'punchy' look of the xr550 any profiles you would like to share and in particular what are you setting the sharpness at?

Current kit AX2000, HDRXR550, cx520 and HX5 and interested in the upcoming HXRMC50' hope I can help when time allows
