HVR-V1U Lav Mic
Hey everyone, Okay I got my Sony HVR-V1U in and I totally love it. I am so glad I decided to up to this camera. While the shotgun mic does a pretty descent job it doesn't seem to pick up quite as good as my HVR HD1000U does with the 1/4" input mic. I would like to pick up a couple of wireless l...

Re: How to transfer from HVR A1E to Blu-Ray/Similar?
Hi Chris, I also use Mac (both mackbook pro and iMac). I edit mostly with the iMac using Final Cut. I was going to post a link to a thread I posted about Roxio Toast "Titanium" and Stephan has already posted it. I suggest that you check it out. I have purchased Roxio Titanium and have actu...

Re: Help with HVR-A1U XLR

Re: Help with HVR-A1U XLR
Okay I uploaded the test footage to Vimeo but see it's NOT HD because I didn't export it as HD. I will have to re do it. The video is in HD on YouTube because i exported directly to Youtube in HD. I think it came out okay but it looks better on my HD TV at home. I have a lot to learn about internet ...

Re: Help with HVR-A1U XLR
Again, thanks for all the input. I did some looking at some videos on Youtube and Vimeo as far as the V1U and I was pretty impressed with what I saw. I also spoke with Tech Support at B&H and after some consideration, I have decided to take the jump. I will be returning the A1U and getting the V...

Re: Help with HVR-A1U XLR
Hello Halfpipe, I have heard of those kind of things and I am not interested in any of those things, as you suggest, they take away from the original mount and would not make for a stable mount on the tripod. I will be calling B&H today (which is where I purchased the camera as well as most of m...

Re: Help with HVR-A1U XLR
I just came back from shooting some footage and this camera is awesome. There are a couple of drawbacks such as bottom loading tape which means taking it off the tripod and taking the tripod mount off to change tape. The quality of the video is so good that I am willing to forgive this downfall if I...
