Focussing at Infinity on the A1

Post by sean2212 »

I've noticed that when I focus on infinity on my A1, the infinity symbol (the lemniscate/figure of 8) only stays on the flip-out screen for a short while, before reverting to the mountain symbol. Does this mean my camera has developed a fault, or is that simply what the A1 does when you're on infinity in manual focus?

Thanks in advance.

My FX7 does the same. I always wondered why the two different symbols - apparently it's just the way Sony engineers designed the user interface. Inconsequential and nothing to worry about!

Hi Stephan,

Thanks for your reply and reassurance! I guess Sony's engineers move in mysterious ways...

Cheers,

Sean.
