here is one oif the first videos I shot with the Sony HVR-V1U. I had taken my tripod and everything because I had planned to make a really good video. I ended up not being able to use the tripod because i left the mount at home attached to my other camera :o(

You don't need a tripod to avoid swinging the camera around. IMHO, the initial long take with the suricats (or marmots?) is a digest of everything NOT to do. Video, compared to photography, is not about moving the camera around, it's about recording moving subjects. Suggestion: keep your camera still, and edit out everything else.
