Sony HDR-CX150 (Date display and Output)

Post by sahsahsah2006 »

Hi ,

Yesterday i bought a new HDR-CX150 model. I have the following questions any help is greatly appreciated.

1. How to display date and time on the LCD panel while recording. I saw the Display settings but does not help much.

2. When we output the video from Camcorder and play back, i would like to see the date time of the Video. how can i display that on the video.

P.29 of the US Operating Guide: "The recording date, time, and shooting conditions are recorded automatically during recording. This information is not displayed during recording, but you can display it during playback by touching (MENU) / [Show others] / [PLAYBACK SET] (under [PLAYBACK] category) / [DATA CODE] / a desired setting."

Thanks a lot for the info Stephen.

I am more interested in the video after download. On the LCD for camcorder , i understand the date is displayed using the Menu settings. I have to download the video (say .wmv format). whenever i play the wmv file i should also see the date display on the Video

Ah, okay... Google for 'embed date time avchd' then, there's a couple of software mentioned there that might help you decode the date/time data and embed it into your video. They may seem of dubious origin though, like 'Visual AVCHD Time Stamp' that has no contact address, company name, or telephone - so use those at your own risk ;-)
