Sony announced their first 3D camcorder for consumers:
But contrary to the Panasonic HDC-SDT750, this new Sony has 2 lenses and 2 sensors, which is why Sony says it's Full HD (instead of side-by-side 960 x 1080 HD in Panasonic). The 2 lenses make it look a bit like Wall-E, don't you think?
And the built-in LCD will let you watch 3D without glasses (like the Nintendo 3DS portable gaming console).
Focal length: 34.4mm (3D) / 29.8mm (2D)
Optical Zoom: 10x (3D) / 12x (2D)
1/4" (4.5mm) "Exmor R" CMOS Sensor
Video Format: 3D HD: MVC (original format) 28Mbps; 2D HD: AVCHD 28Mbps (60p), 24 Mbps (24p 60i)
64 GB embedded Flash memory
Memory Card Slot : Memory Stick PRO Duo™ and SD/ SDHC/ SDXC compatible

Here's a picture of the HDR-TD10 as seen at CES 2011 in Las Vegas.
Also, Camcorderinfo has a first impressions review. They aren't too happy.

Re: New Sony HDR-TD10 Full HD 3D camcorder
Hi,
I'm jumping in late to this, and intrigued by the new HDR-TD10. I've read all he preliminary reviews and I'm on the B & H waiting list...
I've heard, however, everything from "the 3D content is not editable"....which I found hard to stomach....as well as "it is editable, but you
are going to need a RAID system and a "beefy" editor."
Someone please translate: What does this mean to someone (like myself) doing event videography and editing with FCP and a 3 yr. old Mac Pro?

Re: New Sony HDR-TD10 Full HD 3D camcorder
There isn't a single format for 3D video, and I believe everything related to editing is completely experimental at this point. Check these experiments by Digital Content Producer:
- 3D on the Cheap, Part 1
- 3D on the Cheap, Part 2
They weren't related to this new cam, but anyway quite informative of how complex it can be. Not for the faint of heart! ;-)
