Hi Zajo,

I don't have my camcorder with me. I'll check tomorrow to see if I have the OTDISCBN.IND file on my hard disk and I'll send it to you.

In the meantime you can have a look at Sony FAQ for an explanation on the structure of the hard disk :

Hello Ragnar,

I am just going through the problem you posted about and I am so happy to hear there is a solution. Is there a chance for you to upload the files needed for repairing the the image database you have discovered that works. I would appreciate it very much,

Thank you,

Fernando

Hello Ragnar,

Yes, would you be so kind to re-post those files as well. I'm assuming this would work for a SONY HDR-XR100 model camcorder as well?

Thanks,

Hello Ragnar,

Are you able to re-post those files? I have not heard any updates since November 2011 and I would like to be able to use my SONY camcorder.

Thanks again,

Hi everybody,

This is my first post on this site.

I'm facing the very same problem as Ragnar and looking for fresh AVF_INFO files (AVIN0001.BNP, AVIN0001.INP, AVIN0001.INT, OTDISCBN.IND) and I can't find them on the web.
Can someone having a HDR-SR11 or SR12 provide me with those files?

Thanks

Does anyone still have this file? We have asked several times and no one has replied. It would be nice to get this Utility especially now that SONY no longer makes the model I have.

Even a link to a DropBox folder would be nice.

Can we get a new working updated link to RESTORE.exe file please?

Thanks.

I am also desperately looking for this file, or anybody that has an HDR-SR11 camera that can take a dump of their image database,

I also have an HDR-SR11E with a broken touch screen and have successfully formatted the hard drive to FAT32 but I can't create the image database as I cannot select the yes to proceed option :( Very frustrating!

Hi everyone,

I got in touch with user ragnar, who was kind to provide the file RESTORE.exe again. You will find it attached to this post. This file passed antivirus scans (see attached PDF report).

However, use it AT YOUR OWN RISK! There cannot be any support on this, and if you damage your camcorder you're essentially on your own. This is such an old discussion thread, it's ended now. Hope this helps anyway.
