Hello,
I have a Sony HDR CX350V Camcorder and every time I try to enable 'Flash Mode' a message on the camera pops up says 'Feature is unavailable' (or words to that effect).
I have searched various places but never found a solution. I read of the user's manual but could not determine what else had to be set for the 'flash' light to work. I select Still photos as the primary use, but still the same message. It almost sounds like the firmware in the camera does not support the flash mode. I bought the camera a couple of years ago, but have only really used it outdoors where the flash was not needed.
Note: This has nothing to with the 'flash memory'; that all works fine. Just the trying to get the white light in the front of the camera to 'flash'. Although I do wish there was a way to copy from the SD flash card to the internal flash memory...
Thanks,
EaLan

Can you post a screen grab of your LCD for us to look at?

Have you attached a filter in front of the lens? Sometimes there can be a little switch that detects the filter, and turns off any front-facing light to avoid projecting the shadow of the filter's edge onto whoever/whatever you're shooting.
