HVR Z7 - Date Record (remove)

During my honeymoon with the camera I turned on "Date Record".

Some of my footage during the last two weeks has the date recorded on the footage while some does not.

Why?

Bust most importantly, how can I remove the date and time from the footage?

You can't. Once it's burned into the picture it's there forever. It's not like just displaying the date on playback, where it takes the date from the embedded data. This is actually in your picture. You might be able to sort of blur it out in post but you can never truly remove it.

In terms of why, are you saying the date goes in and out, and isn't just there full-time from the time you turned this feature on? No way to explain that, unless you inadvertently kept turning it on and off.

Hm....unless you created a camera proifile with DATE REC set to ON and another one (or the default) with it OFF, and then changed camera profiles back and forth.
