To All The Mods,
I was a fairly active member of the "old" forum....just as I purchased my first HDR-HC1 camcorder...what, 4 years ago??
You all have been a tremendous asset to me and I am thrilled you are finally on
a "reunion tour," if I may put it that way...
It's like re-uniting with old friends, even though Doughie, Kerr and the rest don't know me from "Adam" (apologies to Mr. Gold).
Great to be back!!
Thanks!!
John Reilly

Thank You! Glad to have our first user back on board.

Please allow me to be the second person to congratulate you on getting something up and running again! I hope that this will become a lively and useful board.

Re: "Glad You Are Back!!"
I am happy to see that the web site is online.
I look forward to getting information and having discussions (I did not post much in the past).
I have a new HXR-NX5U showing up on Wednesday --- an upgrade to my HDR-HC1...

Thanks Frank! we appreciate the sentiment and i hope by adam and myself retaining our old mod names, that will help a little in the recognisability of the new forum.Frank wrote:Please allow me to be the second person to congratulate you on getting something up and running again! Re: "Glad You Are Back!!"
ok as you can see we're still fine-tuning things a little.... i just saw tha the color selection for a post-quote is not too visible !
Re: "Glad You Are Back!!"
Welcome on-board John! Great news about your new NX5 arriving. I've read a lot about that machine and i look forward to hearing what you hve to say about it, particularly in comparison to your olde HDV machine HC1. Please do post some sort of 'First impressions' or user-review of it, if possible with pics etc - we encourage you to do so!John McManimie wrote:I am happy to see that the web site is online.

Hello Doughie! Long time, no see.
I notice in your profile that you're giving your location as Mexico. Are you traveling or have you actually relocated? Just curious.
Using the same nicks will certainly aid in recognition, as does using the same avatars, I think.
As to the foreground text color versus the background color on quotes not being readable, the temporary workaround, at least for me, is to swipe the quoted text with the mouse. Then the quoted text is white on a blue background, which I find to be quite readable.
Best of success with the new board and good to hear from you again! Hope that all is going well (and that you didn't have to escape to Mexico to avoid an angry female - or worse yet, an angry husband of an angry female!).
Sincerely,
