That's an interesting concept. I followed the links to doritoslatenight.com that has more of these 360 videos (if you can survive the junk food outrageous marketing).
And to the original startup company that does this 360 video - yellowBird (in the Netherlands) - here's their 2010 showreel and also the yellowBird camera (they're saying Google Streetview uses a variant of this tech).
Anybody wants to shoot wedding video in 360°? Nice idea, I think. And you will look weirdest in 360 apparel with the camera above your head.

Yeah, yellowbird is the first, but the video looks like a test. The Videoclip has some post-production processes.
I think is the same Google`s Cam, but with more FPS.
