How to Email AVCHD? HDR-CX7

Post by picketyfence »

I am clueless.

I can email my friends all the PHOTOS off my cam (DCIM) -

But AVCHD won't budge. Exactly what do I do???? I know there's some sort of software & I've downloaded it off the Sony site - but what do i DO with that? how do i use it? How's it supposed to work?

How can I get our precious video out to everyone who'd love to see it!>?

Upload your video to YouTube, it's the simplest.

Not sure YouTube can directly process AVCHD, but it's worth a try. If it doesn't, convert it to MPEG2 with Sony's Picture Motion Browser software that you got with your cam. Or convert it to WMV (Windows Media Video) with any software converter you can get.

Or use Windows Live Movie Maker (it’s a part of Windows Live suite free to download for everyone).

With Movie Maker, you can make a movie in a few moments using AutoMovie. In addition, you can publish your movie on YouTube or send it via email.
