Hi all:
Great Site!!!!!!
I have problems finding how to use the back light compensation button.
I know how to set it on, but that's about it...any thoughts from the experts??

When your video is backlit, the automatic exposure will lower exposure to compensate and make the whole picture darker (avoiding overexposure). For this reason, some parts of the video will look too dark. Especially annoying if you're taking a portrait of somebody.

BACKLIGHT will overexpose your video, and also use some more clever image processing, to enhance exposure of dark areas when backlit.

I ordinarily don't use it. I prefer to switch to manual exposure and adjust brightness if necessary (using zebras and the histogram as guides).
