I' m in trouble with this regular sony error. I know that this error is not the user's fault. Is there anyone who have this problem and knows how to fix this. Everybody knows that this is not a user's fault but sony wants 300$-500$ to fix it. Please help!

I have had Sony error codes before and have googled around and fixed my cam using methods described. At your own risk!

C:32:11 is a tape-transport problem. Tape transport is the First-point-of-failure around 85% of the time with cams that use tape. It has a lot of mechanical parts and eventually these parts wear/fail/dislocate/get dirty and need cleaning etc.

Anyway, Google returned the following links that may be useful to you:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx6WQWdo92k

- there are many others. Read as many as you can, draw your own conclusions. Sony does have fairly high fixed-price maintenance.

I often find the site fixya.com quite helpful. Here's a link to that for your error code:

thank you very much for your reply. I tried evryone of those nethods but it didn' t work. And I've herad that this error is only seen on sony or jvc camcorders. I think I'm gonna pay for the service and I' ll never buy any sony product again. I was a canon user before this sony and Canon was perfect.
