I am a new member and I shoot using a sony HVR-Z7U and I shoot on both card and tape. The issue I have is the card is formatted Fat and was wondering if I format a card NTSF will the card recording unit accept it. Also I just finished a video for a bunch of older rockn rollers it would give me great pleasure for some views and feed back

No, you can't change the file system of the card from FAT32 to NTFS and have it work in the MRC. You must always format in the unit, not in your PC, and there's no way to change the file system in the unit.
