Still trying to get a nice look in 50i to match the sharp 'punchy' look of the xr550 any profiles you would like to share and in particular what are you setting the sharpness at?
Thanks

Re: AX2000 picture profiles
How about the picture detail level in progressive mode, say HD 1080 25p FX? Is it okay (“punchy” as you put)?
Are you trying to say that the resolution of HDR-AX2000E is not up to your taste? What is your base reference camera, to which you compare AX2000E?

Re: AX2000 picture profiles
Arkady, I have a off /on love affair with 25p, it worked ok on a couple of projects for me but recently I have stuck with 50i, partly because the small Sonys only have 50i when mixing and mainly although 25p I would rate as just as sharp as interlaced on the ax2000, it never to my eyes looks as HD as 50i
As for wanting to match the ax2000 to the xr550, with limited picture adjustment and the way Sony beefs up the colour and sharpness on it's small cosumer cams it's just easer to change the ax 2000 settings to match the 550 with more options availabe in the picture profiles.
